Seth Plummer Week 3 Reading Journal The existence of God has been a question that has baffled people of thousands of years. There have been many theologians that have presented arguments on both sides. In my reading of theological material the best presented argument has been from the Anselm of Canterbury. One of the main questions asked in the reading is… “God is everywhere; so why do I not perceive God”? I suppose that a big part of my faith is the believing in the unknown. You know; sometimes you just have to close your eyes and take a leap of faith. A good example of this is light. “And surely you dwell in the inaccessible light. And where is this inaccessible light, or how can I approach this inaccessible light” (I Tim. Vi.16). This is an example of knowledge above ours, or indescribable logic. This brings me to my next point; “God cannot be thought not to exist”. A great quote from this reading is, “You cannot even be thought not to exist”. If we believe that we are made in the image and likeness of God then we must exist…
