Rolling Disk Lab Purpose: The purpose of this lab was to see how far the rolling disk traveled in a given amount of time. Materials: Rolling Disk Rail Stopwatch Meter Stick Plastic container Procedure: In the rolling disk lab we first set up the rail on top of a plastic container so we could modify it to an average angle, not a very small angle and also not a big angle, so the disk could be able to roll down to the other end of the rail. Second, we marked the starting point of the rolling disk in the rail, so we could know the position that we started in. Third, one person from the group will start to time once the other person from the group would let go of the rolling disk and once the rolling disk had traveled for 5s, we measured the total distance it had traveled from its starting point. We did this for approximately 5s, 10s, 15s, 20s, and 25s with three trials for each time of periods. Last, we got the averages for each time periods and plotted them into Graphical Analysis.

### What students are saying

• As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

• I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

Dana University of Pennsylvania ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
