Mike Blasius 12/12/07 Professor Kim FFL 101 FFL Final: Speech to First Year Students To the class of 2012, I would personally like to welcome you to Bryant University. Here you will notice a much more diverse array of people than your high school might have offered. Along with this you will find that the academic demands are much higher here and will require much more dedication and responsibility than you may have previously applied, but not to worry, it is not all about work at Bryant. You will notice that there are many things to occupy the free time you may have. One vital piece I give to you as new members of the Bryant class is to involve yourself outside of your academics. Join a club or two and attend the entertainment provided by the student programming board. At first, I myself believed that these gatherings would be a waste of time. For the first weeks a refused to attend any of the events but, when my friends finally convinced me to attend a comedian in hall 15, I had a much better time than I could have imagined. I laughed as hard as I ever have and the comedian even singled me out. I regret the
