Task 1:All our lives are directed towards achieving some life goals, whether we are thinkingabout them carefully or not. To be more proactive and productive, we have to learn howto set specific personal goals that we can use to measure our personal growth andprogress. In other words, our goals have to be SMART, and SMART goals examples arenot hard to come by.“I have provided someSMART personal goals thatcan set to improvelife”.Divide Household Chores:Aside from having everyone clean up afterthemselves and making sure their own living spaces are organized, give each family membera chore that is strictly their own. Fighting over who is going to do the dishes can put a strainon a relationship, so take everyone’s preferences into consideration and divide up all of thehousehold chores. For example, if you have a younger child, they may be tasked with setting the table orputting the trash out. An older child may need to walk the dog. If a mother cooks, the fathercan do the dishes. Whatever works for your family will be beneficial.Be Supportive of Each Other:People tend to take their family’s opinions toheart, so if someone’s decision or goal goes unsupported, it can be really hurtful. While youneed to see yourself as a family unit, you also have to recognize thateveryone has theirunique individual goalsand it is best if you’re able to be supportive without passingjudgment or getting in the way of your family member’s dream. Support each other’s choices,as long as they’re reasonable, safe, and won’t hurt anyone else.Keep Your Voices Calm:If your family tends to get into arguments (even ifit’s sibling rivalry), make a goal to not yell in your home. Yelling increases everyone’s stresslevels and is never an effective way to get your message across. Parents who use yelling as aPage2of10Assignment
form of punishment for their children are setting their kids up for a lifetime of poor copingand communication skills.
