In Houston, there are six locations where the central water system supply is held and distributed
however the main system is the most important. The main water supply for this Texas city is held
in Willochase, Kingwood Utility District 5, 82, 73, as well as Bellwauwoods. The purpose of this
essay is to take a deeper look at the quality of water within Houston's main water supply. 453.7
million gallons of water are produced for the 3 million people living in the city, maintaining an
excellent quality of this water is vital to keeping the community healthy and safe (Houston

According to the Houston Public Works, the majority of the city's water was clean and passed
health limits yet there were still several levels of contaminants found within the reports (2019).
Some of the contaminants included were aluminum, arsenic, and lead which all can lead to
