Skating towards my future People generally assume that skateboarders are revels without a cause, damaging public property while collecting filth in the streets. Because of this common misconception, they are usually treated as criminals. I have definitely been tagged with this frustrating label in the past, resulting in unfair tickets, blames, and even physical aggression from teachers. However, despite the countless times I’ve been discriminated against and looked down upon for riding a skateboard, I still passionately love the mental liberation experience while “cruising”. I believe that besides school, skateboarding has been the most constructive thing in my life. Practicing it has not only given me patience and a deeper understanding of dedication, but also provided strength and stability during stressful times. So no matter what anyone says or does, I will never resign being a skater, as it helped me cope with my troubles better than anything else.
