In the title, Cat in the Rain, the word cat represents a female, which symbolizes the girl who went out looking for a cat. The word, rain, on the other hand, represents her marriage and how it’s somewhat putting her down, its sort of limiting her freedom. 2. They started off not knowing anyone and seemed very isolated, but in the end they developed a relationship with the staff, and the padrone went as far as sending the cat to her because he knew how much it meant to her. 3.
