Running head: HUNTINGTON’S THESIS1Unit 9 Assignment: People Power & Politics Michael SoehrenKaplan University
HUNNTINGTON’S THESIS 2Huntington’s ThesisDuring this short paper we will be discussing some political articles. The first one on the agenda is an article by Samuel P. Huntington called “The Clash.” Following this we will talk about Karl Marx publication “Capital.” After a brief summary of each we will compare, contrast, and voice our thoughts on which one has better ideas and why. We will also see if their theories were correct or incorrect in predicting what the future would be like. Huntington first wrote and published an article called “The Clash” that appeared in a 1993 issue of Foreign Affairs (Krista, 2013). In this article Huntington expressed his beliefs of a changing society at the end of the cold war. He believed that the world would no longer be segregated into ideological, political, or economic groups (Hendrikson, n.d.). After the cold war was over people, states, and countries would migrate to like-minded cultural or religious groups.
