And agood manager excels well by giving the customer what they want,when they want it, and withoutbankrupting the company. Our supply chain management needed people's skills, technological skills, andbusiness skills to achieve customer satisfaction.To make customers happy as a supply chain company, we needed to understand the market,determine the difference in needs among our customer segments using market research, segment theminto sections, and develop a concrete strategy for our target market. We also need to know the supplyand demand. While running our supply chain, we learned that using data to track orders, shipments,sales, trends, demand, weaknesses, or inefficiencies is as important as planning, financial, contractmanagement, and building relationship.We learned that having a solid understanding of transportation, manufacturing, and warehousing is alsoa key to excelling in the supply chain management system.
