Often times,during a church service the preacher will ask everyone to bow their heads and pray for thesoldier’s safety and their families.What people don’t think about is the other side of theiranswered prayers.Is it wrong to pray for a loved one’s safety, without thinking how that mightaffect others?In Mark Twain’s poem “War Prayer” an older gentleman interrupts the churchservice to show the people exactly what their prayers would look like from another view point.
