ConfirmationsBackground – Positive Confirmations:Our staff audited the cash balances of four banks to ensure the amounts were correct. This was done by comparing the amounts provided by the banks to the amounts provided by the client’s bank statements. The banks that we contacted were American NorthWest, BNY Federal, Fifth Federal, and Sparkasse Frankfurt, and they were all located within the U.S., excepted for Sparkasse Frankfurt, which is located in Frankfurt, Germany. Lou Jennings and Chuck Rogers are the managers and authorized signers for Simply Soups, but we only used Lou Jennings to get the authorization codes for the financial institutions. Positive confirmation was used for a number of seasons. First, as you may know, blank positive confirmations is an auditing inquiry that requires the confirming party to respondby filling in information or amounts.
