Gennesis Bonilla Professor Ricks Pols 155 28 January 2016 Journal In Chapter 1 of Keeping the Republic: Power and Citizenship in American Politic s, is basically on Who gets what, when, and how. In class today I learned some definitions of words that I knew about but didn’t really know the truth meaning of. For example, politics. I know what politics are but I really didn’t know the meaning of it. Politics is basically how power and resources are disturbed in a group such as a society. In the notes of todays class on the first slide its said, “who gets what, when, and how” this was part of the politics definition that were on the notes. Basically it is saying how politics works. I think this reading was really interesting and really new to me. I don’t know anything that has to do with politics. So reading it and getting information has me really interested. The fact that politics is a big part of this society makes me want to learn more to see what I can do. For example, elections are this year at first I was like
