The goal or objective- Provide a pure culture for further studies 3. Briefly state required- Holding your plates to the light looking from the bottom checking to see the several different colonies and the corresponding hemolysis.DO NOT OPEN PLATES DURING OBSERVATION…. POTENTIAL PATHOGENS! Look for small pin head-sized colonies with narrow band of alpha-hemolysis around them, small pin head- sized colonies surrounded by a clear zone of beta-hemolysis, and large colonies with no hemolysis (gamma hemolysis). Using an inoculating loop touch the center of desired colony in place in a tube with tryptic soy broth and mark its type, hemolytic activity, and
