It includes sabotage, destruction of property, efforts to injure, efforts to kill, propaganda thatattempts to justify violence, intimidation, and threats. However, terrorism is defined as "the unlawful use of force or violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives," by the FBI (The Terrorism Research Center). Most terrorism is blind in that its acts are not meant distinctively for civilians, servicemen, or politicians. Thus terrorism can be deleterious to all people, regardless of religion, creed, age, gender, or social status.Domestic terrorism here in the U.S. is a major issue. So many things have taken place in the past and we can never put a place and time on when the next terrorist event will take place. How do we stop U.S. citizens who have converted to radical Islam beliefsor developed hatred toward their fellow countryman? On November 05, 2009 CNN reported a major story that affected lives and the way we moved forward to better protect our country on domestic terrorism, a soldier was suspected of fatally shooting 12 and wounding 31 at Fort Hood in Texas. This act of terrorism came from one of our own citizens which shocked our nation. The soldier was a trained major in our military who betrayed his fellow soldiers by committing astonishing killings inside of a military base. Because of this incident and many others, we still have a lot room for improvement in dealing with domestic terrorism. Chron.com (2012) reported that FBI agents failed to act 1
