2Medical compliance planIn this paper you will learn about the medical compliance plan. I am going to give you abrief description on policies and procedures works. I am going to tell you about the Complianceplan objectives, Standards of conduct, Purposes and provisions of HIPAA, Discuss social, legal,and ethical ramifications of HIPAA violations, HIPAA requirements for claims submission, discusshow medical compliance plans limit liability, Conflicts of interest, Auditing and monitoring,Communication process and Reporting.Compliance plans uncover compliance problems and correct them. A compliance plan isthe process of finding, correcting and preventing illegal medical offices practices. The goal ofcompliance plan is to prevent fraud and abuse by identifying investigating and fixing complianceissues that occur and have a plan to make sure that they do not happen again. Compliance planalso ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws. Finally compliance plan helps to protecta practice from persecution because it shows that the practice is making honest and ongoingattempts to find and fix areas where problems occur. When a patient is being checked in theinformation that is being collected is helping to start the compliance plan by making sure that thepatient information is current and up to date. Compliance continues as the codes are reviewed tomake sure that the diagnosis codes are recorded in the medical record and that they are logicallyconnected.Standard of conduct deep-rooted in commitment, confidentiality, and relationships.Committed to performance improvement and maintaining integrity, that recognizes personalaccountability and moral obligation to all customers served clients, employees, employers,
