Alicia Riley GSTR 110- ZA Deb Huck February 28,2008 Barbara Martinez Jinter Ms. Jinter’s presentation was amazing. It was very informative and eye opening. Some of the basic ideas that Ms. Jinter covered were the Femincide in Mexico. The amount of women (450) that have been murdered with no trace of a suspect is outrageous. Those women who work their lives away for little to no money whatsoever are the ones who are getting murdered. It makes me wonder if many people know about what is actually happening. She talked about NAFTA and how unfair it was and how difficult it made for the women to survive. The documentary film that was shown during the convocation about Eva showed how hard it was for the women to make it. They worked for $5 a day. Just to pay US prices for everything and pay taxes on land that they may never actually see again. She worked in a factory that required her to soder wires together on the back of a Game Boy. The dust from the sodering caused the faces of the workers to become dry and paper looking. The chemical that was used to
