Greetings Parents! I would like to warmly welcome each of you to first grade! I am Ms. Monica Brock, your child’s first grade teacher. I am looking forward to an exciting and meaningful year full of learning. As a class, we will cover each of the major subject areas indicated in the Sunshine State Standards and each day will include some type of FCAT preparation activity. Just as you should have of me, I have very high expectations out of each one of my students. While trying to carry out these expectations I am aware that the learning styles of children varies individually. For that reason, I plan to ensure that all of your children receive a fair and efficient amount of instruction based on their individual needs. To make sure that the students and I succeed at these goals we need your help! I am asking for parental involvement inside and outside of the classroom. We will work as a team throughout the year to make certain that learning is implemented. I cannot thank you enough for your support. Please feel free to contact me at any point during the school year.
