Sarah Wall Mrs. Negrete AP US History 28 May 2016 Diary of an Indian Fighter June 17 th , 1876 Things have been quiet for us lately. General George Custer is hungry for action, as am I, and we are ready to put the vicious Indians on a reservation. They are dangerous and hostile people, and need to be confined. They are not brave fighters in battle though, and the General fears that they will scatter and flee before we can attack. I believe that we will be successful in fighting the Indians, especially under General Custer. June 25 th , 1876 The scouts have come back and they are saying that the Indians have a gigantic village nearby. General Custer knows they’re exaggerating, though, and is eager to fight the hostile Indians, because we haven’t seen any action in a while. We will soon be able to put them on reservations where they belong. General Custer was given the order to scout ahead for Indians, but I believe
