REQUIRED TEXTS: 1) Human Diseases: A Systemic Approach (6 th Edition) by Mulvihill, Zelman, Holdaway, Tompary & Raymond 2) The Medical Science of House by Andrew Holtz (available in paperback) REQUIREMENTS: - Class attendance and participation. There are no unauthorized excuses from class. Failure to attend classes will result in gradebook penalties, and possibly a lower grade at the conclusion of the course. - Ad hoc quizzes, 3 hourly exams, 1 final examination (based on texts, electronic / paper handouts, and lectures / class discussions) - Brief (2-3 minute) prewritten, oral reports: a) A brief critique of web resources on a disease of your choice if possible, or b) Brief summary / review of a class lecture. -
