Please call or e-mail first if possible. Materials : 1. Real Estate Principles , Ling and Archer, 2 nd Edition, 2008 2. Financial calculator (TI BA II Plus suggested) Course Description : FIN 307 is designed to give the student a general background in the principles and practices governing real estate markets and decisions. The course encompasses an overview of the field of Real Estate including topics as real estate markets and economics, real estate law, real estate finance, investment analysis for real estate and the appraisal of real estate. Prerequisite : C or better in FIN 306 or FIN 311. Course Specifics 1. Three Exams : See tentative schedule for the dates. No exam is comprehensive by design; but, much of the material covered is cumulative. No make up tests are given during the semester. If you must miss a test, you may take it early. If you must miss a test and cannot take it before the scheduled time notify me ASAP. With appropriate notification, you can make-up the missed exam during the final 2
