In any case, be sure to provide specific supporting evidence for your generalizations. 1. Social aspects of the two civilizations: the individual and his/her role in the society, family relations, classes, etc. Pages 167-8 and 193-6 may be particularly useful. 2. The decline of the two empires: internal and external reasons for their collapses with your evaluation. Pages 164-6, 190-2, and 197 may be useful. 3. The accomplishments and successes of the two civilizations with your evaluation of them. Evidence for this is scattered throughout the readings.
