P a g e | 2 Running Head: Dunkin Donuts Introduction As the new District Manager of Dunkin Donuts, I am glad that I have the opportunity to organize the 5 new stores coming to this area. I believe there are many different obstacles that are to come from this process, however it is my duty to perform at my highest possible level. I will need to structure, staff, and operate the new stores in this area, and make sure each store is as successful as possible. These new stores will need great employees and positive management. I believe over the next few years the stores will be producing to their full potential leading to even more room for growth for our company. I am positive I will be an effective leader in this company for the employees, and customers within my area of operation. In this paper I will explain how I will structure, staff, and operate the new five stores by thoroughly describing my plans on my particular job design, organizational design, recruiting strategy and methods, and also my training and performance appraisal process as the new District Manager for Dunkin Donuts in this region. Job Design Creating an area for a productive company in a new location starts a path to many things that offer new ideas. According to author Wienclaw, (2015), “When setting up a new workspace, there are always a lot of things to be done before the space is designed for optimal productivity.” I believe that there will need to be a base for the design of each job that will be given at these new locations. The job design that I will put into place will be layered, clear, and effective. By creating a system where a line manager is delegated to enforce duties and responsibilities to other employees at each of the stores, I will be able to lead from a distance with efficiency. By creating a system where there is much repetition throughout the employees, I believe each store
