Unformatted text preview: Memorandum To: Professor S Glimcher From: Andrew Grunenwald (Seat 25) Date: 01/24/3008 Re: Digital Electronics Lab Introduction The purpose of this experiment was to familiarize students with the fundamentals of digital circuits including Boolean algebra, logic gates, and transistors as well as introduce the use of integrated circuits. The students configured various wiring diagrams onto the Red Boxes at their tables and then also recorded truth tables for each of the configured wiring diagrams. This memo contains the results and descriptions and a discussion of the topic covered in this lab, digital electronics. Results and Descriptions The attached Figure 1: Truth Tables contains the truth tables for all of the logic circuits using the NAND gate integrated circuit, Figures 9a, 9b, and 9d from the lab write-up found on Carmen, and also the mystery circuit, where 0 stands for the switch being on and 1 for being off in the input and, for the output, 0 stands for the LED being off and 1...
