The thesis of Stephen King’s, Why We Crave Horror Movies, is “If we share a brotherhood of man, then we also share an insanity of man,” (King.Paragraph.11). This thesis meaning that if you are fully man, then that means you also have the qualities and traits of man, which include insanity. In other words, we all are a little insane. 2.People go to horror movies for multiple reasons. One of the most obvious is to have fun. Allowing oneself to feel fear creates a lot of adrenaline and pleasure for the millions of thrill seekers out there. Many love to see the violence and gore that horror movies can supply, satisfying their inner evil.3.Anticivilization emotions are displayed when we take pleasure in horror films, but they also appear in other places. When people tell “sick” jokes, they are showing the uncivilized side of themselves. Sick jokes revolve around sensitive subjects that can be offensive, hateful, and/or racist. Many take pleasure in listening to these “sick” jokes, unknowingly calming their uncivilized side.
