Similarly 1/b + 1/c = 1/9 ..... (2) and 1/a + 1/c = 1/8 ..... (3) From these three equations we solve for 1/a, 1/b and 1/c. Subtracting (3) from (1) 1/b = 1/6 - 1/8 = 1/24 Subtracting (2) from (1) 1/a = 1/6 - 1/9 = 1/18 then from (2) 1/c = 1/9 - 1/24 = 5/72 From these a = 18 days b = 24 days c = 72/5 = 14.4 days = 14 & 2/5 days...
