Ashley SotoodehBiology 112-52011/3/2015Evolutionary Changes for the Animalia KingdomStarting from the outgroup chanoflagelletes, the Animalia kingdom have diversified into differentphylums that contain many species that are unique in their characteristics. One main split that differentiates these phylums is the distinction between protosome embryonic development and duetersome embroyinc development which splits after the phylums labeled choanoflagellates, porifera and cnidaria are presented.After the choanoflagellates, the rest of the phylums were multicellular and shared that they were in the Animalia kingdom together. Porifera had an anopamorphy of being asymmetrical, and true tissues branched off after this phylum. With the development of true tissues, the phylum cnidaria came next and contained an anapomorphy for nematocysts. After this phylum, the characteristics of triptoblastic development and ecdysis developed and ledto the ecdysozoa superphlyum. This superphylum included the phylum nematoda, onychophora, and
