After reading the article, I now think and becamemindful of the various sectors within the society that are facing discrimination, especiallythose facing stuggles with their gender identity and disability all in one. I have came tolearn that there are various conventions and organizations that advocate and protet therights of people with disability despite their gender. For instance the Rights of PersonswithDisabilitiesandtheEconomicandSocialCouncilprovidespecialcareforpregagnat women and older women that have disabilities. At the same time theyengage in acts of defeinsing women’s freedom from possibile situations of abuse. Thealso provide women with disability proper access to various programs that would helpthem live a better standard way of living, such as by helping them with financial issueswhile protecting them from social injustices.
