Week 5 Discussion Post ENGLISH 111 Catch up on the readings for Week 5. Pick one story and then ONE PASSAGE from that story that you find especially interesting, confusing, awesome, irritating, or otherwise worth writing about. (The length of the passage is up to you, but try to keep it manageable.) In no more than a sentence or two, summarize what's happening in that ONE passage (not the entire story - we've all read it) so we'll know exactly what part of the story you're talking about. Then write one or two thoughtfully developed paragraphs responding to the passage you just summarized—explaining what you found so interesting, confusing, awesome, irritating, or whatever. I especially urge you to think about the elements of fiction or any poetical features within the story. I am picking the last paragraph from Nathaniel Hawthorne’s short story, “Young Goodman Brown.” In the last passage, the narrator is explaining to the audience how Goodman Brown is behaving to the public after the devil’s gathering the night before.
