Tripod Mellon Grant Article: Danai Pointer: I hadn’t had experience with interviews, I hadn’t had experience with documenting, I hadn’t had experience with photography—and this really prepared me. It allowed me to discover design skills I didn’t know about at all The grant gives students the opportunity to see what applying to grants is like and why its so important. To apply, you don’t need to know exactly what your project is; it took me two and a half months to figure out what I was going to do.
