The difference between weather and climate is weather is the conditions in a certain area at a certain time while climate is the conditions over a period of time. So weather changes frequently in most regions while climate maintains stable over time. 2. Some factors that affect weather in areas are: the amount of water vapor in the air, the amount of cloud cover, the type of surface of the earth, the elevation, the strength and direction of air. 3. The greenhouse effect is when certain gasses accumulate and get trapped in the atmosphere and prevent sunlight from reflecting back into the atmosphere. This means that extra heat is trapped within the earth’s atmosphere and warms the temperatures. 4. Scientists use ice core samples from glaciers to analyze both carbon dioxide content and the temperatures at which the ice formed. They also use data on carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere that have been collected for close to sixty years. The annual temperature averages in areas have also been logged and
