Unformatted text preview: Spencer Syfrig March 28, 2006 Nevins-Casswell CR #4 Bushs Veterans Day Speech On November 11, 2005 President Bush gave a speech at the Tobyhanna Army Depot in Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania. This speech is significant because it was given on Veterans Day and it discussed the global war on terror. Bush discusses many things in this lengthy speech such as our veterans, the war in Iraq, Al-Qaeda, September 11, etc. I feel like at the beginning he is sucking up to the veterans by talking about how he is increasing benefits to veterans and trying to ban flag desecration. It seems like he does this so that they can start getting excited and rally for him as he continues his speech. I do like how when he discusses the Global War on Terror he talks about terrorist acts worldwide and not just on the US. This adds credibility and makes it appear that he is not worldwide and not just on the US....
