Spencer Syfrig Professor Smith March 2, 2006 Midterm Essay I feel that the current United States foreign policy with Iran needs to be more towards an isolationist view. I feel that the US should not try and fix or help Iran before helping our own people. The US is spending too much money in these foreign affairs when it could be used to improve the current state over here. There have been recent issues over the Iranian production of nuclear arms. The US needs to remove troops from Iran and allow the United Nations to monitor their nuclear arms. The US has no spot in the world to police it. Another recent issue has been with the Iranian elections. There was a controversy over the outcome and the US should not need to police their elections. This also applies to Iraq. And last another issue is the US trying to westernize Iran. We need to allow the Iranian culture to remain as it has for the centuries it has existed. There is no reason for the US to push its ideals and beliefs upon another country. This is also true for
