Executive Summary
Golden Dairy Farms is a milk supply business for four local stores in Berwick,
Melbourne. The report addresses the current business process concerning the
ordering procedure for clients and investigated the potential for integration of
information technology (IT) to replace outdate manual processes impacting the
businesses bottom line. The report consists of a proposed business processing
model, analysis of the sales data to highlight the importance of business intelligence
and addresses the concerns of management towards implementing such technology.
A number of recommendations are made in the report regarding business process
flow and simplification, a mobile ordering app capability for clients and
considerations for cyber security with the implementation of such IT systems.

2.0 Introduction
Golden Dairy Farms is a business-to-business supplier of an assorted selection of
milk products. Operating from Berwick Victoria and founded in 1961 the company
has built up to a multi-million-dollar firm, in which a new general manager has
expressed interest in a system that can respond to changing market conditions.
The purpose of this report is to provide an evaluation of the business processes
represented in a swim lane diagram and propose an updated enterprise resource
planning model with integrated business intelligence technology. The report also
investigates various concerns expressed by management in regard to business
process modelling, information technology, mobile ordering capabilities, various
business analytics and also information security laws.
Included in the investigation is recommendations on operational flow, analysis of
sales data to highlight the importance of integrating business intelligence, and
recommendations for the mobile ordering system.

The report is partitioned into two sections; the business evaluation, which presents
the current and proposed process models as well as sales analysis, and the general
questions section addressing managements main concerns. The general questions
section will also include mobile app recommendations as well as critical framework
for cyber security.
