Difference between communication and Communication S Linear model: Act of transferring things; dynamic proves model: processes of coordinating and controlling activity and knowledge Those who use the term communicationS are not concerned with how meanings are constructed or how meanings shape action But the DPM argues that all aspects of social life function on the meanings we construct with others From this perspective, one can communicate WITH another, but not TO another Why does the dynamic process model of communication focus on the construction of intersubjective meanings rather than fully shared meanings?
