Pearl of Great Price Test Study Guide 1. July 1851 was the year that the rough copy of the POGP was published. October 1880 was when the Brethren submitted the POGP to the body of the church to be canonized. (Once it is sustained, it is canonized.) 1832 Account of FV most intimate and personal account. 1835 account of FV given to a passerby in Kirtland. 1838(9) account of FV institutionalized by scribes and Historian of the Church. 1842 account of FV given in Wentworth letter. 2. 1832 Account- Most intimate and personal account of the FV. Talks about the Apostasy of man greater than the other accounts. 1835 Account - Given to a random passerby in Kirtland, Ohio. The FV was never PREACHED by Joseph Smith. 1838(9) Account- Institutionalized by scribes and Historians of the Church 1842 Account- The account that Joseph gave in the Wentworth letter. When the Church stopped practicing polygamy it created a void in our theological lives. Pres. Joseph F. Smith has us all teach the FV as a filler. It was inspired.
