The justice system is provided to the people to ensure security and safety among all of the wrong doing in society. Public order is necessary to aide in the decrease of crimes including murder, kidnapping, hijacking, grand theft, felonious assault, battery, conspiracy, and arson. The text focuses on individual rights versus public order, which have together, shaped our legal system and our understandings of crime and justice. Public order activists proclaim the rights of the victimized and call for an increased emphasis on social responsibility and criminal punishments for convicted criminals. With that being said, public order is simply necessary to punish those who have been charged with a crime, to place them in jail or prison, and to keep them off
