Alcohol What are the signs and symptoms of alcohol poisoning? Alcohol poisoning is a very dangerous situations. It occurs when a person has drank to much alcohol in to short of time. Regularly people pass out as a defense to prevent their bodies from absorbing any more liquor, but when a person does not pass out they are at risk of alcohol poisoning. Some signs of alcohol poisoning are unconsciousness, clammy pale skin, vomiting while sleeping, and slow breathing. If a person shows these signs it is a very dangerous situation. Heroin was once thought to only affect those in the city, but there are more stories every year about suburban teenagers overdosing. One particular incident that had media spotlight attention was Plano texas. Heroin is finding itself in the homes of the suburbs. Because of the cheap price for heroin compared to other drugs it is easily affordable. It is also a statement of independence, and the feeling of invincibility that comes with driving which draws in the new crowd. Bipolar disorder causes people to have extreme mood swings. They can go from a normal state of mind to a depressed or manic state of mind. Manic states of mind are on the complete opposite spectrum of behaviors and thoughts from a depressed state of mind. While in a manic state one finds them to be very powerful, energetic, happy, and in denial that anything is wrong. Depression causes people to lose interest, become lethargic, and feel empty inside. Bipolar disorder is traced through families making it a genetic disorder. Although bipolar disorder is very serious, there is treatment
