Conclusions: 1) Describe 2 things you did to make sure your equipment was working. a. We tested the glider and air track to ensure that the glider moved smoothly along the track. b. We also tried the photogates out by releasing the glider and having it move through it several times to ensure it was reading the glider and starting the timer. 2) Describe 3 things you did to reduce the amount of error in your data. a. We tried different methods of releasing the glider to ensure the best results. b. In our 1 st try at the experiment we used a ruler to measure the distance between the glider and the magnets. This process yielded unacceptable errors so we went through and did the experiment again and used a set distance along the ruler of the air track to bring our error down. c. We also checked the air holes of the air track to make sure there were none clogged up. If we did the experiment with clogged air holes there would be extra friction on the glider therefore skewing our results. 3)
