Although there are threats from terrorist groups and the changing international world, the United States leads the world in education, economy, and the military. However, in the last decade, the world has seen a tremendous growth on the other side of the world: The Peoples Republic of China. For a period of time, magazines were littered with headlines such as China Threat or a Peaceful Rise of China? (New York Times) outlining the rapid rise to power that China has experienced and the threat that poses to the security of America. Just last month, the world saw the competition between America and China at the Olympics, a spectacular display of not just athletic excellence, but the improvements in China.
