Flucas 1 Crystal Flucas J. Martin 1 st block AP Language 11 November 2008 Influences change the World No matter what stage of life people are in, they are subjected to influences. We are all under influence from our friends, teachers, parents, and the media. The influence something has on someone is great. It is so great that it alters the way we think and the choices we make. We can mostly thank our friends’ influences on us for the things we do and the things we say, but these influences could be either dangerous or helpful. Friends have a tendency to influence us easier than anyone else because they usually share the same thoughts as we do. Parents-whom we are subject to their commands and influences- are another major influence. Children usually watch what their parents do and try to mimic their behaviors; unfortunately, sometimes parents don’t realize that their influence can be destructive to child’s development. Our teachers-whom we come in contact with five days a week-greatly influence our society because they’re teaching us things we will need
