Thomas Clarkson was an abolitionist from 1760 to 1846 in the british empire.  He became a leading campaigner against the slave trade in the british  empire.  In college he wrote an essay about slave trade.  He continued on  writing about and interviewed people who had personal experience of slave  trade and slavery. Acts of Union 1707 Who o What o A pair of parliamentary acts passed in 1706 and 1707 by the  parliament of England and the Parliament of Scotland o The acts joined the Kingdom of England and the Kingdom of Scotland  into a single Kingdom of Britain When o May 1 1707  - acts took effect Acts of Union 1707 was a pair of parliamentary acts passed in 1706 and 1707  by the parliament of England and the parliament of Scotland.  The acts joined
