Introductory Paragraph:
Hook: Being a class A one drug, marijuana has had a bad reputation but what most people do not
know is the actual benefits cannabis can have in all aspects of life if it is used correctly. In recent
years the use for medical marijuana has increased tremendously paving the way for millions of
new users looking for a better coping mechanism than taking addictive pills.
Background and contextual information: Marijuana has been used for religious purposes for
many years, it has been scientifically proven to help improve the cases of people who have
certain types of medical problems and issues. With the fast-paced and fast-paced growing
industry it can help some states grow and get more visitors, build more revenue, and jobs for
everyone- thus helping the communities in the process of helping people, medically.
Thesis Sentence: Three great impacts from the use of Marijuana can include: the long history of
use, the medical application and as a cash crop.

For decades now, marijuana has been used as a plant for many purposes.
One of the earliest uses are documented from being in China and dating back to around 4000
BCE. The Chinese used cannabis to help make rope, oil, medicine, paper and more.

services and they have said it has given them a ‘source of happiness’; From being able to use
