The four types of prisons that we use in our criminal justice are the military prisons where any military person serves their time for any crimes that they commit next we have juvenile jails where we put offenders who have committed crimes and who are under the age of 18. Than next we have psychiatric hospitals in which we house offenders who are found incompetent to stand trial and who are found innocent by reason of insanity, and last but not least we have regular penitentiary’s in which we house offenders who have committed crimes as an
