He is immediately welcomed. • Odussomai means “hate”. • Odysseus drunks Polyphemus the Cyclops and stabs him in the eye. He is able to escape but commits hubris in doing so by boasting about it. • Circe advises Odysseus and his men about the rest of their journey.
