Mallory Brooks Movie Questions, Set Two:  Fog of War 1.  What does McNamara have to say about rationality?  What does he mean by  this?  What does Ballantine and Roberts say about rationalization of society?  How  might this idea of rationality be applied to MATC?  Explain. McNamara says that rationality may not after all save us. I believe by this he means  that you can not rely on rationality alone due to the may downfalls that come along  with bureaucracies in relation to rationality. An example of his reasoning is in  regards to Cuba and that we were { this } close to total destruction and due to luck we  survived.  Ballantine and Roberts say that the rationalization of society was created to  maximize efficiency and  was thought to be the number one way on how businesses/ organizations should be run, through rational rules that were created to meet
