Michael Slagh Writing Assignment #2  Section 7 03NOV2003 The Situation At Michigan State University, every college student faces the decision of whether or not to live on campus after their freshman year. Some students find that living in the dorms is the easier of the two choices, because meals are provided, classes are relatively close, and recreational activities such as IM sports are usually no farther than right across the street. But, as students get older and priorities change, the value of prepared meals and living with a high number of people sometimes declines. Students who live off-campus might want easy access to a car, or perhaps even want to live with a few friends and actually live in a house with more than one room. A. Alternatives A 1 – Live in Dorms A 2 – Do Not Live in Dorms B. Outcomes O 1 – Live in dorms and like living area O 2 – Live in dorms and be indifferent to my living area O 3 – Do not live in dorms and like living area O 4 – Do not live in dorms and be indifferent to my living area
