Material Culture comprises all the things that people use: clothing, houses
and office buildings, axes, guns, computers, earthmoving equipment (from
hoes to work animals to bulldozers), books, musical instruments,
domesticated plants and animals, and agricultural and food-processing
equipment.

Multiculturalism is the state of relating to, reflecting, or being adapted to
several cultures.

What is a secular society? What does Secular mean?
Secular States: countries that have no state religion has no direct
influence on affairs or state or civil law
Secularism: a way of life informed by values that do not derive from any
one religious tradition.

Race carries significant social and political importance in some areas of
the world. Race seems to have increased its importance over the last
several thousand years when humans traveled different parts of the world
and began to encounter each other in situations of unequal power. Some
researcher’s have e suggested that European colonist adopted RACISM –
the negative assessment of unfamiliar, often darker skinned people – to
justify taking land and resources from these supposedly inferior beings.

What is a CLIMATIC change? Give an example (there is one in your
book).
Climate: the long-term balance of temperature and precipitation that
characteristically prevails in a particular region. By this definition, the last
major global climate change took place 15,000 years ago, when the
glaciers of the last ice age began to melt.
Weather: is the short-term expression of climate and can change in a
matter of minutes.
