POPULATION AND ENVIRONMENT 2 Population and Environment Introduction There is a growing number of people on the earth contributed by the several nations all over the country. This rise does not show any sign of going down or stopping any time soon. In this regard, there is a rising negative impact on the environment. There are so many implications and interrelation to discuss, though there are three elements of the environment that are fast declining; water, air and land. The trees are being cut down at a fast rate leading to massive impact on the well-being of the earth. The oceans and seas get filled with wastes from industries and excessive fishing. The atmosphere faces extreme injection of carbon air which is harmful to the earth (Singh, and Islam, 2012). A good chunk of these issues can be linked to the fast growing population that has placed immense pressure on the earth. Population In 1994, the demography of the population was at 5.6 billion. The constantly rising size of the population has had harmful implication on the earth’s setting. These implications take place on two stages: the global and local level. On the international stage, there is a growing amount of green gases that harm the ozone layer, the killing of species and overall food decline. On the local stage, there is the removal of soil and hence loss of trees and grass, the decline of water distribution and toxic air and water. The earth is flexible, however, all of these features are connected and there is no one impact that is secluded. All of these destructive features can be linked to the rising population numbers. As the population rises so does the economic, social and technological effect.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
