List three missing patches and all missing service packs from each of the systems. Patched Machine – 3 Missing Patches, No Missing Service Packs No- Patch Machine – 53 Missing Patches, Missing Service Pack 2 3. Aside from missing service packs and patches, identify which system has a high security system vulnerability and explain it. You may need to do some reading outside of the lab. The right machine has a high security system vulnerability due to the fact that it is missing Service Pack 2. A security risk in that is that Service Pack 1 is missing the security center which has a built in firewall. 4. Explain you results when scanning the XP SP2 box from the “right” machine. The machines do not expose there vulnerabilities in an external scan, the firewall stopped the computer from doing so. 6. After you have turned off the firewall on the left machine and scanned again from the right machine, what differences do you see from the previous scan where the firewall was enabled? (i.e. compare the remote firewall on scan to the firewall off scan.) It locates the machine and detects open ports and NET BIOS in a scan of the machine....
