Situation theory - an effective leadership style Contingency theory - in order to maximize group performance, leaders must match the situation to the leadership style Path-goal theory - in order to increase employee satisfaction and performance by clarifying and clearing paths to goals and increasing the number of rewards available for goal attainment Adaptive leadership behaviors - leaders will adust their leadership style to match the followers readiness Normative decision theory - leaders will determine that appropriate amount of employee interaction Subordinate Contingencies -perceived ability
